he Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus) has announced a reduction in the price of gold by Tk1,050 per bhori, effective from Sunday.
With the price adjustment, a bhori of 22-carat gold will now cost Tk1,70,761, down from Tk1,71,811 on Saturday.
Bajus’ notification explained that the decrease in the price of pure gold (acid gold) in the local market prompted the revision. The new gold prices reflect the overall market situation.
Under the updated rates, 22-carat gold is priced at Tk1,70,761 per bhori (11.664 grams), 21-carat gold at Tk1,63,004 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk1,39,711 per bhori, and traditional gold at Tk1,15,532 per bhori.
While gold prices have adjusted downward, the price of silver remains unchanged.
