J. Crew is joining forces with Alighieri, the London-based jewelry brand inspired by Dante Alighieri, the 14th-century writer of The Divine Comedy. Founded by Rosh Mahtani in 2014, Alighieri has quickly gained recognition, with features in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Marie Claire, as well as a strong Instagram following.
The collaboration marks a major milestone for Alighieri, as it partners with the iconic clothing retailer for a limited-edition collection that includes unisex jewelry, accessories, and apparel, all celebrating maritime themes. The capsule features 24K gold-plated bronze medallions and other pieces adorned with Alighieri’s signature fish motif, hand-carved by Mahtani and crafted in London’s renowned Hatton Garden using the ancient lost-wax casting technique. This process results in intentionally imperfect, treasure-like designs.
In addition to the jewelry, Alighieri’s signature golden buttons embellish J. Crew’s flowy white summer shirts, while pendants and earrings, also crafted in 24K gold-plated bronze, complete the collection.
The J. Crew x Alighieri jewelry collection is now available for purchase.
